Sportswear giant Nike laid off more than 200 vice presidents, senior directors and directors in the latest round of cost-cutting measures.
Nike continued with another round of layoffs, removing 732 total jobs from its headquarters in Oregon. This was part of an effort to reduce its workforce by two percent and is a small part of a larger overall effort to cut $2 billion.

Only 200 VPs, Senior Directors and Directors? I’d call that “a good start”. Now get rid of at least 200 more and we can talk.
Actually that’s going to happen anyway out of necessity. Nike has WAY too many corporate employees and needs to shrink headcount by another 10% at minimum. In the next 12 to 24 months we’ll see another layoff even larger than the last.

He stated he doesn’t predict more layoffs but leaves off that most jobs aren’t being replaced either for the past two years when people flee.
We’re thousands less than just two years ago if people have been watching the headcount numbers.
