Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Would you like a SMALL or double XL?

Let me preface this by saying, I'm sorry.

I just walked through Nike CHI. Our (I still feel like I'm part of this) execution was horrible. We moved consumers to a DTC model. Great! NOT.

As a consumer - if you have a body - I should have no issues accessing the product I want! Well... maybe not!

The reality? There was no mediums in any apparel, or US10 shoes in everything I looked at.

Now maybe we don't want to serve 55 +1 year olds. However, what I was trying to buy was ACG apparel and AM1 shoes.

I get it, we are trying to reenergise or 3PW partners... as we should. It makes sense. So maybe there was inventory farmed out across key retail partners. At last.

But then why aren't we (see, I'm still with you) prioritising our largest most profitable market?

The US, I'm guessing is still north of 50% of our profit?

This sh-t isn't complex... we just continue to make it that way.

There is no finish line! Or maybe there is, if we continue to think this way.

Is Nike going to be the next KODAK?

How can I hep? #108816

We went to the Nike store in Paris…they were out of jerseys, despite France being in the Euros. How much has been left on the table when they aren’t stocking what people want to buy?

I am not kidding but we went to Claifornia for 4th of July. There is a mall in San Diego where Nike and LuLu has stores across each other. Lulu was packed and Nike store was a ghost town. I swear to God even my 6 year old kiddo noticed that!

Nike’s way of running the company has finally come to get them. Bad leadership and bad execution can only get you so far.
