To add to this, if you are considering Nike and you need to relocate your entire family, be careful! Once you put down root in Portland and buy a house, if Nike kick you out in a few years, you are almost stuck and there is not many tech opportunities in Portland exactly. If I knew this 3 years ago, I would have never ever accepted Nike offer. I was gainfully employed in California in a medium size company and quit my job for Nike and came to Portland. Relocated my family, bought a house, kids are in school and It has been a sh-t show since day 1. Two rounds of layoffs so far and more to come! Has been 9 months of constant stress and anxiety since last year October, top it off with CEO email on Christmas time regarding more layoffs!
