Anyone else go through April layoffs, be told your insurance would continue through 12/28 and there is nothing you need to do only to have their insurance cut off on June 30th? WTF

It's a bit confusing and I have not read that packet from Health Equity yet. But I'm thinking that's for continuing coverage beyond what Nike is paying for.
From the EOE FAQ
"If you sign and do not revoke the Separation and Release Agreement, NIKE, Inc. will activate and pay for COBRA coverage on your behalf for the duration indicated in your severance summary. You will receive a packet of information approximately
4-6 weeks after your termination of employment. The packet will be sent from Health Equity via US mail to your home address on file. No action is required to initiate COBRA following severance agreement being signed"
Anyone else receive a letter from cobra today asking if they want to opt in…out of pocket? I’m hoping this is a mistake, bc it’s listing ~ $2k /month for my family
Yep should be back 7/9 But I have dr offices calling about my cancelled insurance for future appointments and medical equipment providers saying my insurance is no longer active. What a pain on top of everything else
People Solutions confirmed that you are automatically enrolled into Cobra if you were impacted in April. There were some minor delays with the 6/28 date, but it should be fixed now and you do not need to take any action. If after 6 months you need insurance, you will then need to enroll in Cobra/other at your own cost.
Called People Solutions just now, recording said they are closed for Labor Day??? WTF is wrong with these id--ts
same just happened to me with United
Just talked to People Solution. They said that whatever insurance you had before will carry forward. You do not need to do anything. There’s some weird thing with payment between Nike and the insurances. So your United coverage will be back online on 7/9. Kaiser will be back on 7/11. If you have appointments in the interim, go ahead and self pay. Then submit to insurance for reimbursement.
You still have to sign up for and accept cobra. Nike will pay for it, but there are steps to take. No where does it say you don’t have to “do” anything.
laid off in nov and told i would have bennies until june - in feb there was a “disruption” but it came back - it was weird but i was covered
Did it flip to COBRA coverage that is paid for the next 6 months?
Oh ge-z…indeed. What the heck? My child has her wellness exam on Friday. What do I do?
