Severance is not based on what department you work in. They are not changing severance based on department.

Watch out there. I was a 20+ year vet of another bank. Was scheduled to get over a year of severance. During a large reorg they cut severance for my dept so it was only 90 days.
Jump ship? Heck no, first I’m going to rearrange the deck chairs on the TITANIC, then I’m going to get my 🍿 and sit down in one of those chairs and collect my severance before it goes under. Jump ship, that’s funny stuff

I get it that many of us are anxious about losing our jobs. Bear in mind that some people just want to stir up some sh!t.
Focus on what you can control, and it's never a bad idea to update your resume.
