You know that old line "never let them see you sweat"? All I ever see from them is the sweat. I'm the furthest person from the communication team, but it just feels like they operate in a way that's either terrified of or dismissive of employees. Like, why stage a question on morale if you're not even going to answer it?

It’s hilarious how with every employee meeting, the leadership seems more and more disconnected. They are trying to improve the optics, but it comes off cold and calculated every time. The moderator even seemed like a robot. They should just speak by way of email and start to slowly build back morale, one thirsty Thursday at a time.
KW leaving?
Getting really fu--ing tired of being told what to believe as if it can be willed into existence.
You can't tell me that morale is good, that we've never been stronger, that our strategy is rainbows and unicorns, that the peg is new and our rehashed greatest hits are going to save civilization. Everything out of these guys mouths is either patently false or laughably unprovable.
Time to drop the act and BE accountable. You're not fooling customers, not fooling Wall Street, and damn well not fooling employees. The lies have to be believable and top to bottom they aren't.
Our comms team is disconnected from ground reality. They think they “know” what teammates want to hear but the truth can’t be farther from reality. They are also the mean girls and boys club. Their way is the only way or there is no way. It’s baffling to see how they try to position themselves so hard as a value added team but fail to deliver every time, over scripting every human moment. But they know how to play the politics game and they win every time, even if it means Nike looses.
