No News as to what comes next?

Serious question...I thought all of the president's men were supposed to be providing information on what comes next after this VSP? Didn't Hans initial email say we had to be all in for what's next? It can't just be the rebranding...They clearly have some plan for the rest of us. Why not just come out with it?? That would increase the take rate for sure...

It's been a 10000 VSP target with rebranding all through the 2000's. Like a magical, can never get off, shiny but goes no where carousel! Nothing ever changes so don't expect a grand gesture by leadership with a new model, great revenues, unbridled happiness. Think of the Matrix.

The plan is the rebranding and vsp / rif. They have nothing else. They haven't for 15 years. Its an idiocracy.

Company leadership want at least 10k to take the VSP. If not RIF’s probable by end of year. Look for RIF’s to continue through ‘25. Reason why VSP FAQ mentions RIF often. They want a lean, mean VZ.

Here's the thing. They are NEVER going to tell you what is actually next. Any and all questions you ask during all hands meetings, etc., are corporate answers. They're jobs are to appease the shareholders.

Imagine, during an all hands they say "there will be another RIF if enough of you don't take VSP." Why would say that? Who does it benefit? They are trained to spin any sort of negativity into some sort of positive light. It's their job.

Corporate execs are not your friend. They are not going to be completely truthful with you. They are going to ALWAYS give you the corporate answer.

That said, the "corporate answer" can absolutely be parallel to the real truth, but that's where you have to take every single thing they say with a grain of salt. Choose what you wish to believe but do not be shocked when you find out otherwise.

My guess. Verizon will re-org and try to survive with the reduced headcount but will fill in with offshore employees where needed. There may be some opportunities to move up or laterally but it will mostly be offshore getting plugged in.
