Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Consulting firms lack of technical acumen

The problem with consulting companies like Infosys , hcl , tech Mahindra is that they lack good technical management and are full of project managers who look at technical issues like deer in the headlights. These snake oil salesmen might be a good fit for running their own company or getting the deal from Verizon, but not working for Verizon as technical management. Verizon needs to have its own technical management team to manage the technical resources from these companies and work on technical assignments or issues. It's a waste of time dealing with these so-called clueless project managers from consulting firms. Can Verizon at least keep their good technical management folks and don't offer VSP to them?

Business majors think they can run every problem through the same process and solve it. Really you just end up with a more efficient problem.

The majority of VZ executives making these deals are from India. They get kickbacks from Indian government and Indian contracting companies for every American job they take away and give to an Indian. In order to hide the major conflict of interest they keep a couple female Americans to sign the paperwork.

VZ working on becoming first to the bottom!! Customers and techs hate working with them due to numerous issues. Procedures not followed along with applications not working and always being told newer employes and they need training. Could go on and on but you get the Idea. But we have another new logo and back to wanting to be a media company. Remember g90, Oath, AOL and Yahoo etc.
