To the poster below, it is CVS style to submit WARN notices only AFTER the employee has been laid off. CVS gets around the WARN requirement by keeping laid off employees on the payroll for two months after layoff date before severance kicks in. So do not rely on state WARN notices as a good indicator that layoffs are coming or not.

There have been no WARN notices for CT, RI, TX, IL or CA. There is one for NY, the closure of an Omnicare office affecting 27 employees.

layoff by its nature, is secretive and full of rumors/half truths/lies until public announcement. if people think posts of layoff are trolling and add to unnecessary anxiety, they should not visit the forum.

i did see people from external consulting firms in headquarters, maybe they are here to help select who will be in the layoff list. it seems plausible that layoff will happen around the date of earnings report. A lot of companies like announcing layoff around earning date. cvs did it last year, i.am.not surprised they will do it again

There is totally a lot of speculation on here, but the layoff predictions have been spot on. Denial helps no one. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

Sounds like we need a Learning Module on troll identification. Those who know aren't saying and those who are saying don't know....
