Mondelez has spent a lot of money on this Salesforce app.
I don't see DSD going away for at a few more years.
Downsizing will continue untill they're ready to exit DSD.
Some sales reps will get laid off in 2025.
They're basically training order writers to do a sales rep job without the perks and pay.
Cheaper labor is what this company is gearing towards.
Welcome to corporate America.
Fat cats get fatter and the working people get sc--wed.

I agree with the last person. The job isn’t bad it’s the way it’s being run. I liked it enough that I stayed on as a part timer knocking myself down from a FTOW and getting a new full time job in place of FTOW because the way it’s being ran is terrible that I had no choice but to not be a FTOW anymore but can’t live off of part time pay or gig work cash so I got a new full time job. As a part timer my schedule works around my schedule at my other job and my personal life so I can still be out in the vendor world and not have to deal with the typical bs because I only work 10-20 hours a week. As a FTOW or sales rep you have to deal with all the bs that comes into place which is everything you just said. Also reps should be the ones writing most of the orders. Full timers should be there in the case of emergency purposes or if a rep can’t get to a store or to write a store that there’s no selling because we only go there because we sell product there but have no sales program but not on the days when the rep has to go there to speak to the manager. If the rep has to add sales to the order anyway they might as well write it. The way it’s been run is what’s dragging the company down and why being a FTOW is the worst job in the world.

Crazy thing is, I like my job. It's the BS, the constant politics, nepotism, favoritism, absent managers, lack of accountability, etc, that I can't stand. The job is great, the company being ran the way it's being ran is definitely the problem.

I would say it’s probably just about everyone post mission one burnt out and depressed but I definitely know how you feel being not sure if it’s me or do others feel that way. Mainly because not everyone is honest about how bad they hate they job and ever since mission one we all work by ourselves so we never see anyone and if you don’t see anyone you won’t get to see how they feel.

Someone said that one team is adding a sales rep position. Funny how that’s the case. Last summer they made us take that stupid survey that resulting in us getting that jacket that says mission 1 #1 DSD on it and I suggested they upsize the amount of reps by every team adding at least one additional sales rep and to have it where order writers are writing less and packing out more so that everyone is less burnt out. I suggested how it could be done for the team I was working on and yet they didn’t listen. Not only did they not listen they continued to push the already failing like a dead dog mission one and burnt everyone out even more. I became miserable to the point I had to step off the job because I was too burnt out, I didn’t enjoy life outside of work and become very worn down and depressed and go figure the minute I step down is when they actually acknowledge my feedback. I guess they only needed to burn thousands more out in order for them to say “hey this isn’t working”. Still wouldn’t trust this company. This could just be something they’re doing to contradict what will actually happen. People just need to know how to not be fooled by things.

No mission 2 coming soon. Our team is actually adding another sales rep position July 1st. We are also getting new tablets and phones next month as well. Looks like Mondelez is happy with Mission 1 results.
