Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Nike stock

Average daily trading volume is 9.2M shares. This morning it’s already hit the 18.2M mark. 52 week high per share price is $123. This morning it hit $77. The Board and the ELT, are driving this once proud brand into the ground. Product looks not-so-good. But what’s way worse, are the quarterly balance sheets and forecasted projections. Inept leadership vision at wholesale and DTC, has ki-led the company. Yet our CEO talks about how great the product pipeline is, innovation, etc. All BS. Sad to see what’s happening with a brand that was once an industry leader and a company that people craved to work for. It’s now a dumpster fire. All the PK watches from the sidelines, even though he controls the real shares of the company. Terrible; just terrible.

Market is at an all-time high.

I think only a few tech companies are driving this market now.
But I don't think their valuations are legit. It's a big bubble.
The federal reserve printed a lot of extra money and it has to sit somewhere.

Wall Street now referring to nike as a “tired and stale brand”! Wow!!! Down 20% today and next Q is forecasted to have a 10% decline in earnings. F’g bloodbath. Great work Board and ELT; really well managed and terrific leadership. Go back and have your staff make some beautiful presentation decks featuring Express Lane and DTC - telling us how you are going to turn this circus show around.

Market is at an all-time high. Meanwhile, nike is trading at historic lows. Bloodbath. But hey, when you are the ELT and given millions in options with preferred trading opportunities, a few hundred k here and there has minimal implications. However, for us mid level employees, the price reduction has potential catastrophic implications, be it ESPP, options or with our 401k’s.

Hire a D-Bag software clown to run a brand, good idea right? What could possibly go wrong? The board had better clean house fast before it gets worse.

They will simply not prolong his contract. And, probably, desperately searching for the new one. And if they fire him now - they, probably, have to give him a golden parachute.

@nub. IV is historically trash on Nike. You getting like 10$ a contract. Now with that plunge, we're all JD bag holders. Better off just selling espp and buying vti or wheeling something else.

Historical biggest one-day decline since it sank 13.5% on May 29, 1997.

Currently down 19%.

Making records today. Remember this moment.

With the total lack of trust in the BOD and ELT, it is time for NKE to be delisted rom the Dow.

WTF! Wake up to Nike at 76.61! At what point will the BOD fire JD and Friend?

Tbh - the drop is bad but the volume always is trash until earnings. How do I know this? I sell calls on my espp and the volume on non-earning weeks is awful and usually you’re trading a decent spread around the ATM.
