Clearly the ELT and Board have no idea what the working environment is for teams rn.
Pay us for this bullsh-t and we can show up as you described, otherwise expect 65% effort.

The entire purpose of CFE and continuous growth are now moot at Nike. Guaranteed to only receive a meager cost of living wage increases are on the table this year, no performance based pay increase despite crushing FY24 CFE goals. Not to mention 65% bonus despite obliterating CFE goals for FY24.
Leadership has lost the locker room and have ki-led motivation and inspiration at the company: the key drivers of innovation. The Nike motto under JD has morphed from ‘Just Do It’ to ‘Just Do More With Less, For Less”
The people suggesting 65% effort are clearly and rightfully so pointing to the fact that Nike does not care about extra effort or higher than average performance anymore. The two waves of layoffs are a clear evidence of that. I used to strive to operate at 120%+ effort and consistently set goals and deliver results that would reflect in a highly successful rating or above. I no longer have the motivation to do that and dialing back to 100% and average performance is good enough. A better use of the extra effort I used to put in is upskilling and learning things that will make me more competitive should the layoff axe come my way.
Yeah….give less effort that will show them and really help the company! Less effort and expect the same or more money for it.
How about 65% of your salary for 65% of the effort? Would be the first ones on here complaining about it. Nobody is forcing anyone to work there. Work anywhere.
Bonus payout rate aside, with what these “leaders” have put everyone through, anyone still willing to give 65% effort is generous.
People are d-mb. You got 65% of your BONUS not 65% of your salary. Saying it’s worth 65% of your effort with that logic is mind blowing. How about you got 100%+ of your salary now with a bonus so go give 100% + effort?
If that’s how you put thoughts together please go work at a competitor. We will catch up much faster that way.
Why would anyone give more than 65% effort? The last round of layoffs was solid hard evidence that your skills & effort mean nothing to this embarrassment of a company.
65% effort united!!!
65% effort sounds like a great plan.
