Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

JDs CFE - years of FAIL

So John, let’s sit down and talk about your CFEs for FY24, FY23 and FY22. We’ve given you lots of opportunity but you’ve been inconsistent for at least 3 years now. The stock is lower than it was when you joined whilst the S&P has doubled. You can’t always be building for the future when your hero is Coach K, John. You’ve got to get it done in one, John.

The company has lost market share, John. It’s lost its brand relevance, John. And you have no clue about the company culture, John. Hiding in your Seb Coe bunker.

John, you’re not demonstrating that you understand the sports business or have any empathy for product design or youth culture. Let’s face it, your IT and tech knowledge has also been very very dubious (but what a laugh it was to burn a few billion!)

I did collect 360 feedback from across the organization, but let’s not sour the vibe by reading that now, John. Can’t see any vision or clear plan from you yet, either.

On the positive side, the Nike Jet pilot says you’ve been asking to try on his hat and have a go on the steering, which is nice. And the Wall Street short sellers are also big fans too. I heard they sent you some Hokas for your birthday. So funny, John!

Anyhoo….I think it’s time we put you on a performance plan, don’t you John? It’s better for both you and us that we give you a path to a find better match as an employer. It’s just not working is it, John? Clarity is kindness John. Accountability is kindness, too. Don’t you think?

Don’t worry. I hear Kohl's are looking for an IT manager? That might be more suitable for you. I think you’d be happier?

John?

lol. JD doesn’t give a sh-t about CFE - he bonuses whether the rest of us bonus or not. He is guaranteed a bonus. Which I find egregious especially with so many people (me included) were laid off and now desperstely seeking work.
