I have an Area Manager -- oops, excuse me "Associate Director" now -- who does nothing but sits on call after call after call with all the new cr-p policies AT&T is pushing us. We know when a call is over because he'll send out blanketly to all any attachements related to the policy even if they are not applicable to our team. Otherwise, he never talks to any of us except to remind us of mandatory deadlines, regurgitate to me what I wrote for my performance review and objectives. I've talked to him once since December 2023 and that was only due to the mandatory workday performance review associated with bonus release. Utterly useless chain of managers. Get rid of all the "Associate" whatevers at all levels and just keep the real Directors, VPs, etc. T is worse than a bank with all their layers of management.

I agree T is overstaffed when considering the amount of work we have here. I hear my director asking us to innovate, collaborate. Is that my job to bring new ideas to the business? What is the role of the leaders? They are paid big $$$ for what? I’m on the bottom of the food chain and will have to pay the price because we have lazy and incompetent leaders. No layoff, no matter how big will solve T problems.
