Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Do you think JD will continue as CEO after Q4's earnings call?

Analysts expect losses as On and Hoka chip away market share. If these predictions are correct, it would be yet another consecutive quarter of losses and lack of innovation

And also consider the recent class action lawsuit accusing him and the CFO of misleading investors with DTC strategies

What do you think?

Nike lost a lot of money in the beginning of pandemic. Not sure if JD put cr-p under the rug or it was genuine loss.

It just doesn't seem likely that this BOD would get rid of their own pick. JD was on the board for quite sometime. This is their guy.
Side note: does anyone know if investors can call to impeach the whole board?

If you believe replacing JD is going to be Nikes silver bullet… I have bad news for you… more radical change needs to happen to right this ship. The entire BOD and ELT needs to be examined.

Hoka Rev is $2B not $500K. On is $1B. yes small potatoes when is comes to our total rev. However, that's $3B in the running category alone. And, it went from -0- to $3B combined in a relatively short period of time. Yes on poster who said Nike hasn't lost money. But the one that baffles me is how a fortune 500 CEO for the dominant global brand in its industry serves over a roughly 50% reduction in shareholder value (roughly $175 per share to $85) and still has their job. That's the one that baffles me.

They've already shared guidance that Q4, Q1&2 will be revenue challenging. They are also promising things will turn around in Q3 and further accelerate in Q4. You'll start hearing louder rumblings about sacking him if Q3 doesn't show the upswing that's been promised. My predication is he'll be gone a year from now if the "innovation pipelines" don't result in expanding revenues in Q3 and Q4.

Who is innovating more than Nike?
That’s such a played out criticism used by people begging for attention on LinkedIn.

Sorry but Hoka total revenue is like 500k. How exactly are they stealing shade, besides headlines?

What do you mean, “another consecutive quarter of losses”. Nike didn’t lose money last quarter. Or last year. I’m not sure Nike has actually lost money in a couple decades.

Words mean things. If you’re going to use the word “loss” and you’re not talking about money, you might want to explain what you ARE talking about.

That lawsuit? It’s d-mb and meritless, as already discussed in another post.
