Executives don’t have special knowledge the rest of us don’t. A replacement for Weaver is simply a political tactic rooted in self-interest.

Any word on that silly tw-t from Maryland? She needs to go as well.

No question Weaver’s days were numbered when Lesher came on board. Good move bad move meh, makes no difference in the grand scheme of things. EL keeps bringing in high priced talent from other big banks and nothing changes. When you get rid of all the worker bees who really made things happen and wonder why you are still circling the bowl, well you know. The big flush hasn’t happened and won’t cause BillyBob is pulling the chain. Su-ks to still be here doesn’t it!

CCB performs like sh-t and he gets paid more each year. Dumpster fire! “leave it to weaver”

One can debate whether policies from Bill have led to where CCB is today or not, but Weaver has at least been culpable in its erosion. Talent has left in droves and continues to do so and taking clients with them. The shame is they have given away a lot of market share that will likely not come back. Another WF person is not going to bring those clients back.

Not surprised, anyone who was paying attention saw this coming. I could have sworn that I heard Kristin say, “that we decided that it was time for him to retire.” And then add it was his choice.

Very disappointed to hear this. Not really surprised as Bill continues to force out any and all remnants of BB&T.

I doubt he “chose” to retire but it is possible a dude made enough money and just wants nothing to do with this S.S.

Lesher carries herself like a Wells Fargo boss. Meaning instantly gives off “I am a horrible person” vibes.

I trusted Weaver more than the other executives.

Weaver is one of the better guys. Sorry to see him leave. He was one of the hardest working guys he will ever meet. And he did a great job for Heritage BB&T

If he was decent, he and Kelly would take every dime they got from the merger and give it all to the BB&T employees they sc--wed. They can keep $1MM and that’s it. Otherwise god bless and have fun in he-l fellas.

Eh Weaver seemed like a decent dude to me. He didn’t come across as a sociopathic narcissist to me

That old goat has taken so much pipe in his career he should be in the plumbing hall of Fame

Didn’t take Lesher long to move him out. Which one of her WF cronies is replacing him?

‘Retiring’. He will stay on until fall in an ‘advisory’ position.
