Anyone know if current WFH employees will still be considered for new internal job positions/promotions given RTO being reinforced?

Dir call, I told her I was hired remote , and live 50 miles away, she said ok, np.
they are ok with remote employees. and have heard no layoffs till Aug/ Sept
I was wondering the same thing. I don’t live within 25 miles of any office, so unless I wanted to uproot my life and family, I could never be Hybrid working for CVS/Aetna.
Have heard VP approval is required for WFH promotions to director or above
Yes--WFH are being promoted. I have a co-worker who was on the line of 25 miles and they had no issue being changed to WFH.
Not sure if it still applies, but several weeks back they were requiring VP approval to promote a wfh employee
I haven't heard anything saying that WFH employees wouldn't be considered. But, I used to be WFH and became Hybrid recently because the promotion I was offered (and accepted) was posted as hybrid and my manager stated they weren't allowed to open the position as WFH. So, that way HR/leadership basically forces people that want promotions into a Hybrid role by not offering it as WFH. So if you want the promotion go ahead, but it may come along with being reclassified as Hybrid and being required to RTO.
