I would just like to know who what and why on all the VPs this company has and continues to bring in. Call centers based in 3rd world countries, stores with no staff. But go on LinkedIn every week and there’s a new VP in charge of some made up department that probably brings no value to the company.

Of course there are job req freezes.
We have them frozen every single year, it is nothing new.

The only variable is that the company is doing worse than ever, and it has weaker leadership than ever before.
Most of the strongest most nurturing leaders were show the door last October and the problem leaders already here were kept or promoted.

We brought in new leaders all over the company with no healthcare experience.
Even in IT, tw@ts from Twitter and Goofy from Disney were brought in.

Executives that were let go from a 5 years ago for good cause are being rehired.
Proving the previous bad... is better than this bad.... god help us.

Place makes no sense, so likely the hiring freeze will be longer and more impactful than ever before.
I'm waiting for the next round "Please pick me!!!"

The people who made those "bad decisions" should suffer some of the consequences of said decisions, and they're not. It's the little people at the bottom suffering the most. The senior execs are getting off unscathed.

If you’re “growing” and losing too much money doing it … then you will die even faster as it’s unsustainable. There are throttles on how fast or how slow a business wants to.. or rather can grow at any time. If bad decisions were made then the business needs to figure out a way to course correct to get back on track.

I just got an email last week of ~25 promotions and a close friend got promoted--I haven't seen promotions put on hold.

Oh I know what you’re defending. It’s unconscionable and fortunately , not sustainable. Even the stockholders have lost their confidence in this “plan”. You don’t grow? Then you lose customers, die and go out of business. And will deserve it entirely.

Aetna has been quite clear that they will be focused on margins aka pricing higher and exiting unprofitable markets. The focus isn’t “growing the business”…

As far as freezing and slowing hiring… it forces higher level and mid level leaders to reposition all their people into work that’s of true impact and moving people with fluff roles or groups and teams that do the same thing to change.

I’m not sure that the approach of closing job requisitions without improving efficiency is a kindness of any sort. It only puts more pressure on those remaining individuals who didn’t have enough resources in the first place.
What is BK’s plan to grow the business? Bueller? Bueller? That’s right, he has none. And few leaders cut an organization to achieve consistency in growth and job security. Tim N. Is another example of a narcissist bean counter. Him and his flying monkeys. Use the signs to point out what is really happening here.
