Fired CEO of SBUX was a 19 year consultant… probably had no idea of what it means to operate and execute.
Honestly, SBUX was a sinking ship. I left there to come to NIKE years ago and it was the same thing when I left. History is just repeating itself at NIKE from what I experience at Starbucks. When Starbucks went digital, so did the drop in stock. Leaders are focusing on the wrong things.
Innovation was key to success.
Phil makes the decision on John not board, employees or shareholders. At 86 he doesn’t want another leader. He’s tired and safe now

Board and leadership is full of deadbeats
JD leaving may mean our stock jumps a little, but if it's just him, our culture will not change. We need to get back to the culture that had people wanting to work at Nike because of the culture and that means a huge overall of leaders. I don't think that will happen though so we're all stuck until we find new jobs or we stay and suffer.
Our stock would also pop if ceo was ousted.
