If all the unions folks refuse to take the package the next one will become more lucrative. It’s not like you can get fired!

So in new jersey there were a limited targeted amount very minor in most areas like 1 facilities tech here there 1 systems tech here there, but nothing major i believe it was the extra $50,000 bonus plus $2200 a year dont think there was max on years ,But didnt seem like any major offer also have to realize NJ between inside and outside has very few union employees left really so they were not going to just let everyone leave with extra money Im sure in some areas if people put in they may approve over the amount of bodies

From CWA 1103:

"Local 1103 will weigh all options including but not limited to filing a grievance contesting Article 55 and the farcical nature of a surplus condition when, at the same time, the company is hiring into the title and FAA and transferring employees into the title ad FAA."

This letter is to notify you that Verizon New York Inc., Verizon Services Corp., and Empire City Subway Company (Ltd.), (collectively “the Company”) are declaring a surplus condition in twenty-four (24) titles within Force Adjustment Areas (“FAAs”) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The surplus titles and FAAs together with the names, net credited service dates, and work locations of all employees affected are provided as attachments to this letter. To alleviate the surplus condition, the Company will invoke the Force Adjustment Plan (FAP) of the collective bargaining agreement. This surplus condition has been determined by the Company to be due to a process change. The provisions of the respective FAP Articles 8(b) and 10 will not apply in this case.

If the Company uses the Enhanced Income Protection Plan (EIPP) under step three (3) of the FAP Article to alleviate the surplus, the Company will make Special EIPP offers to associates as described in Section XIV of the May 29, 2016 Memorandum of Understanding and Section IX of the July 14, 2022 Memorandum of Understanding. Special EIPP offers will be tendered to those employees in the surplus titles and FAAs involved by August 27, 2024. An employee’s election to leave the service of the Company and receive Special EIPP payments must be in writing and transmitted to the Company within 15 days of the offer, in this case September 10, 2024. The off-payroll date for employees who accept the offer will be September 29, 2024.
