Anyone else get weekly soda and alcohol delivered but the HO seems to think that one week you should get 18 pallets of hard liq-or and 15 pallets of coke products?? Why so much one week and hardly anything the next 2 weeks!! Ridiculous!! Pretty sure the HO can get just about any”deal” at anytime. Spread out the orders!!!!!

Every dept gets overloaded with freight. IF the buyers & replenishment would send what you need when you need it, associate's jobs would be easier.
they could focus on cleaning, zoning, member service, etc.....things you don't have time for now.
the freight is coming into the d.c.'s at such a pace that they have to get it out.
like everything, it all starts with the buyers and home office. if they're aren't properly doing their job, store levels can't do their jobs.
also, there is no doubt that these buyers are taking kickbacks from vendors to purchase extra freight that they clubs do not need.
I am so glad I no longer work at Sams.. the stress was ki-ling me after 30 years.. I used to have nightmares about a certain person not related to working at Sams. I left there 2 years ago and have not had that person in a bad dream since..
About 80 percent of my trucks are scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday. Would be nice if they spread them out. Today (Thursday) we have a truck scheduled every hour from 4am to 11am.
Bakery authorship is also out of control for some items. Like STOp. We get a load 7 days a week. No reason to send so much. We have no place to go with it
60 pallets of Coke per week here in Texas. Sometimes 80. 20 pallets per week of Pepsi. 40 pallets of Dr Pepper per week. Wouldn’t be as bad if we didn’t get 90-120 pallets of that ridiculous Member’s Mark toilet paper and paper towels every week!!!
It’s like that every summer. Water trucks everyday, sometimes twice a day. 3 Pepsi trucks a week with 20-22 pallets, 1 coke truck16-18 pallets. 7-up once a week but doesn’t bring a whole lot. It will ease up after Labor Day.
Same with freezer items.
Its related to pricing. They get a cheaper cost from the vendor and buy additional inventory at the cheaper price.
Buyers and sellers do not operate that way.
