I don’t want to work at CVS anymore. It’s getting gradually worse. I’m not happy with my manager, my compensation, and the general bad vibe with all the layoffs and leadership’s obvious incompetence. I’ve been offered a couple of jobs and only one was worth considering. I refused and continued to search. Job market is definitely not good, but there are some opportunities. One just should be persistent and not wait for layoffs to start searching. What are your experiences?

Bye you won’t be missed. You will probably fail at another company to.
Vote for DRATS in November and December Recession Starts and all companies across the US will start Laying off employees. If you do not believe, check the historical data. JC, BC, BO, JB, and soon to be KH in power will show the same High inflation, High Recession, High Unemployment, etc. Unfortunately CVS is a DRAT Favored company and it supports DRAT Policies by providing campaign grants. KL is in the JB Advisory Committee. CVS will have mass cuts in the 2023 - 2025.
I hate it here too! Been looking and applying but it's tough going. Best bet is reach out to contacts as having an advocate somewhere will get you to the front of the line.
Best of luck out there my friends, I feel like post-layoff we all sort of played ourselves sticking it out. I still had some folks around me that I cared about and we all had to sacrifice our health to hit a few deadlines this year. I think I thought it was noble to stand by them so we can all stay afloat but the reality is we all should just get out and the dedication doesn't guarantee anything. I think that's a lesson for any corporate job but I'm still early in my career so it's the first time I had to learn it.
I hope I get hit by the layoffs while at the same time not wishing for any instability in any of your lives. We can all find something better eventually.
Job market is tough and getting tougher.
There is def a white collar recession in place.
