Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Being laid off turned into a positive thing

I was laid off, managed to land a new job within a month, and found out I was being underpaid by Truist by a lot! It turned out that being laid off really was a blessing in disguise. If you don't feel like leaving, at least make sure you're not being as underpaid as I was.

It was a toxic relief.

Agree, people should look if you still have a path before retirement. I left last year, was forced out, and landed something making 3X the pay and so much happier. Is it harder work, sure, but it's rewarding and appreciated...Something our multi million dollar compensated executive leaders would never appreciate.

Congratulations on your new position! Glad you found a new position and got a well-deserved bump in pay. When one door closes, an even better one opens. :)

I wasn't laid off but got fed up with things. I had a new job within weeks of applying and make a lot more too. I was severely underpaid. Glad it worked out for you.

Really glad things worked out for you. Depending on your age and skillset it may not be that easy for many that are getting laid off.
