Saw this come up on another post. It seems like a great resource to push product creation but I don’t see anything happening there. Anyone have experience with it?

AirMax DN is a great example of why everyone is saying we don't have any product innovation. For those of us who have been here for more than a few years, we did a ton of product with Core Performance using air (I think it was called ramp air or something like that) that was the exact same as the new "innovation" we delivered to the consumer with DN.
That what the APCC was supposed to be. It’s been tried before and it’s always faster to get samples made by the factories that are actually going to work on the product. Nike is in such a bad place right now. “Rinse and repeat” strategies. Just like the AirMax DN was supposed to be a new innovation. GTFOH Nike. Good luck… “Stay on the Defense”
Very clear who is leading it. Also very clear he is not the right person to lead it. Such a waste. It will be divested in the next reorganization just like digital product creation.
unclear who’s running it and even more unclear deliverables
Who's running that show, and what are their deliverables?
It could be a great resource, but it's also been tried over and over again. There are so many resources we are putting there that could be used in other parts of the company. We let go of some great talent on my team only to then add additional resources into a group to make footwear for product creation? Are we not also doing digital product creation? Do we really think we can build molds and create new product faster than the factory partners? Another example of a waste of resources.
example of why you need leaders who know what they are leading
