Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Weird vibe, what’s going on? Big layoff incoming???

Weird things happening across the organization. Pharmacy and IT layoffs, Clinical operations moving people around, directors promoted to AVP, Medicaid expansion but no one seems to know what they’re doing. Are layoffs coming? Any leaders willing to talk about being asked to complete PITAs?

What is a PITA? A bit lost on what that is and what it means.

Post ID: @7rqc+1tVMCXc6- I think a lot of people know this. This AEP will be awful and forget about bonuses for worker bees next year. No accountability at the top.

Re: the new PPNO VP-she used to be my VP in HR and she is incredibly competent and smart. Things in HR are weird so I think she took the opportunity to get out when she could. Huge loss for the team.

"My boss told everyone about their world wide vacations they have been taking. Must be nice."

Yeah, this always really stings. They don't appear to take into consideration the possibility of "reading the room".

If they really took the time to think about it and empathize with the workers and the members they wouldn't do this.

They could consider: the workers are having a hard time making ends meet /almost drowning and the members are often times worse off, going without food, meds, reliable transportation and countless uphill battles.

This always happens when you get a new CEO. We just have to wait and see no one‘s gonna talk and jeopardize their job. If history repeats itself, there’s usually RIF’s in the fourth quarter just before Christmas

I haven’t had a vacation in 3 years. I can barely afford groceries. My boss told everyone about their world wide vacations they have been taking. Must be nice.

RIFs are coming. They will be fine. The workers not so much.
