Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Truist names Steve Hagerman chief information officer

Another Wells transplant. Someone called this in a thread about a week ago. He will be a follow orders guy reporting directly to Billy Bob. Spent a long time at JPM. Cost a lot of money to get this one.

I worked with Steve at Wells Fargo and he is a very intelligent and authentic IT leader. I believe he will breathe new life into Truist Technology.

He has already started drinking the purple kool aid:

"I'm thrilled to join a company that is built on purpose-driven performance," Hagerman said. "Truist's commitment to caring for clients and inspiring communities is a differentiator in the industry. I'm looking forward to working with the enterprise technology team to deliver capabilities that empower the business and deliver premiere service to clients."

Thank goodness it was Kerrins. She would mess things up even further with her dancing and kissing up and clueless knowledge. Let her tend to her lemon tree just like her lemon of a career.

It would be nice if remaining Teammates could help “clean up the mess” but we know that is just not going to happen. Outsourcing will continue and he likely will bring in people from WF or JPM he trusts. Same old sh*t different day. He no rookie so he knows what he is walking into. It won’t take much for him to be a hero following the disastrous previous leadership.

Folks at Wells are 50/50 on him. He most likely left because he wasn’t going to get the CIO role there even though he knew more than Kerrins and or he felt the incoming CIO would replace him. Truist is a mess and regardless of who comes in, no one will be happy. Want to help clean up all the woes, stop whining and come up with solutions , be a victim or a victor. Help Hagerman be successful or not, and suffer the continuous revolving door .

@fqt+1tUgd0qn if you think it’s all BS why do you bother commenting much less reading it. You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution and seems obvious which you are. Fu*k off

Everything on here is BS. The disgruntled teammates want friends to hear them. Fact is nobody cares. Leave if unhappy.

Should have sent the CIO role offshore, think that would have been more cost effective, especially after committing over $200M for a golf sponsorship…..

So much for the speculation that it was going to be Tracy Kerrins as was shared in a thread last week here:

Goes to show that a lot of stuff posted here is cr-p and untrue.

This does not instill confidence that anything will get better in the Truist tech arena.

So what’s Bender’s next BS assignment? Interim vice chair?
