Thread regarding CVS layoffs

If they offer buyouts i advise everyone to take it.

This place is circling the drain and if you think Karen is going to save it, you are mistaken.

What the he-l you all think the Return to Work initiative with enforcement pulling monthly badge reports was about? They will find a way legally to axe you with no need to offer severance. This has been the plan and setup all along. Hope you were all adhering to the 3 day a week rule otherwise expect the boot with no golden parachute.

They have no REASON to offer buyout packages except for certain executives who perhaps they want to leave quietly.

I will be first to stand in line if there is a buyout offer :)

They might want to start doing something a little smarter instead of multiple layoffs every year if they ever plan on employing new people in the future. Who in the he-l would ever want to work here knowing that every year one would go through multiple layoff periods?

But, if they offered early retirement deals, that's not huring anyone, that's being nice. At some point, don't you have to start trying something different? I mean, these layoffs aren't conviencing anyone that CVS knows what they he-l they know what they're doing.

What are all these comments about buyouts or early retirement??? There is no pension so there is nothing to offer for someone to retire. You either get fired or you’re layed off, there is nothing else.

Do you think CVS is going to say: “hey guys, if you want to leave/retire here’s a big check?”

This would be smart to let the people who don't want to be here anymore to get bought out. To me it's better than some spin the wheel approach where high performers are axed for no good reason.

My opinion but there is no way they will offer an early retirement package ever again.

Ha ha, they won’t offer buyouts. What is there to buy out?

Everyone should know that it will be more firings without severance so don’t sit around hoping for some sort of package
