Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Conduct Management Layoffs

47 employees were laid off from Conduct Management, from Investigations Associates, to Senior Investigators and managers. Seasoned employees with decades of experience who have integrity and forced the company to do the right thing... While simultaneously hiring in India. Queue the speeches from leadership about how this change is a good thing.

Conduct Management is not the group that “spies” on employees. CM has to investigate what is turned over to them as a potential policy violation.

I know that morale is not good right now. Does anyone know when more employees in Conduct Management will be let go? And what location?

probably offshoring because they don't really care what the complaint is about. They just want cheap labor to be able to file reports on who is doing the complaining.

Conduct management folks are the ones that review all Ethics line complaints, customer consent and sales pressure issues, ER complaints…. All the companies complaints. They make sure that the customer/employee concerns are researched appropriately. The only reason the company is sending these jobs overseas is for cost cutting initiatives. The people in conduct management are precious Service Managers, Branch Managers, Corporate Security, etc. They understand all the sales pressure the branch employees have faced because they were subjugated to it themselves. The reason this work should not go to India is because it will not be researched properly. The cases are not going away, but the company is changing its procedures to make things not an allegation so it can appear that we do not have that many customer/employee complaints. What was once considered discrimination or sales pressure are now being closed as not an allegation due to the constant policy and procedure changes on the definition of an allegation document.

Maybe one of them could dispel the urban myths about how easy/hard it is to know about new employment during notice. And for that matter how many severances actually have been nullified for it in say the last year.

I wonder how many of these folks were checking up on laid off employees to make sure they hadn't taken a job during their notice period?

Curious if you think this is actually putting us at risk of repeating past mistakes, or have we actually made meaningful progress and don't need the volume of people we once did? I'm not advocating for job loss, but genuinely curious if we don't need the same level of staffing, because we got better?

@cmx+1tT05Sw It sounds like you don't know what Conduct Management does. What you're describing are operational risk consultants who monitor social media and look at employees for potential risk.

CM keeps WF from going back down the path of previous scandals which is good for all of us. Ethical employees who say "Hey maybe we shouldn't be doing this to other employees" are the ones who were let go.

People who have given decades of their life to a company do not deserve to be laid off, regardless of what department they're in.

So the people that unnecessarily spy and profile employees. Peep through our laptop cameras and turn on our microphones to eavesdrop on us. They had to endure layoffs like the rest of us plebs? Poor babies
