Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Legit don’t understand

Long time Nike employee who has now been long gone. It is really sad to see the downturn of Nike. It’s inexplicable really, but the spiral look out of control. Cannot imagine anything short of 2 years to straighten it out. With luck.

As an outsider now, I see a handful of clear reasons Nike has lost its way…(1) wrong leaders in wrong position (2) deep over reliance on external consultants such as Bain and McKinsey, who don’t know their a-hole from their elbow (3) over relying on hype and legacy, while not innovating (4) losing the employees and shareholders and consumers interest and trust.

It’s just bad.

On the CEO, why is he still in place? It is fairly obvious he isn’t cut out for the role, and cannot get the train back on the track. If you look to your German rivals in Herzo, they replaced the last CEO with their new one, and he is well ahead of his complete rebuild of trust with employees, shareholders, and consumers. The brand is white hot right now.

As a Nike shareholder who has seen his stocks just about halved in value, I find this deeply unsatisfactory that the company is failing and flailing with leadership issues.

Why is this acceptable? Your own ad states “winning isn’t for everyone”, and it seems applicable to how your leaders lead.

Expect better. Rooting for you.

Whatever you do, don’t think this site is representative of the employees there now.
I mean there are a lot of complainers, but this is their hive. Outside of here they don’t speak much (which explains a lot)

Peace!

Big reason for wrong leaders in wrong place is the DEI KPIs VPs abused to max their compensation

Consultants and Outsourcing Vendors work for themselves only. Su-k us much cash as you can, then move on to the next victim - like vampires. Wake-T-F up Nike, if want people to care and increase innovation while keeping a lid on operating costs, then need to listen to people who give a sh-t - and it is not the f’g vampires and dipsh-t outsourcing vendors. All they do - repeat all they do - is create ever increasing levels of admin and incompetence to hinder people from getting sh-t done. They don’t want it to get done, they don’t want it to work, they don’t want it to get fixed - they want a never ending pile of sh-t si they can put more bodies in seats and su-k more $ out of Nike. Well guess what? The f’g vampires and leeches are winning because ANYONE who calls them on their sh-t is labeled a malcontent and problem versus the ones who give a sh-t and know how to get stuff done. Get the f’g leeches out of the way, watch us soar!!!
