What chance does someone have to be released after September if you opted into the VSP? And who makes that decision? Is it HR, your immediate managers, or is it at the executive level?
Will this be decided based on the individual team, or was it already predetermined before the announcement?
We have 2 that hit the button. 1 is leaving in December and the other is leaving in march. This was confirmed today by our manager

Executive decision. VP up and Director conversations with HR just there to support the legal aspect. Word on the streets is September for those that volunteered.
Also, heard not enough volunteered so VSP will be attempted 1x more with no tenure limits and regular customer service teams included not just BGCO. RIFs likely after but what else is new since Hans has taken over.

We haven’t had assigned cubes (really just desks with a tiny separator) since pre covid. Never really had anything myself but it did make it seem alot more temporary and more of a gig job starting back then.

What was likely predetermined is that as many volunteers as they get will all be shown the door in September.
You likely won’t see many job posting to backfill as those will be in another country since we are a global company and all.
