Accountability is a tricky subject, while agree that doing the right thing is important just to look at your bloodshot eyes in the mirror when trying to wake up for another 15+ hour day, I think a top contributor to the morale issues is the lack of accountability for certain people and teams. Look at the SEC go live, overall going better than expected but still a freakin’ mess that could be avoided if people/teams talked & collaborated instead of the selfish “look at me” & look what shiny tool I implemented behavior that leads to ignoring Customer, Biz Partner, and Industry requirements. Yes, we can do better - let’s simply start by holding teams accountable for mistakes. Not personally, but make teams budget and pay for costs incurred. Would get a lot better fast if pay-to-play was really that, instead of a select few paying for what they want to, and everyone else is f’d
