While there are some fallacies with this post, it is unfortunately more or less true given the assumption that a large number of people will decline the RTO offer.
Stankey has defined a goal of reducing the TW employee base to 5-10% of the overall workforce by 1H 2025. Impacted TW employees will be asked to report to a selected hub and if they decline they will be identified as surplus. Whether or not impacted employees are allowed to be backfilled is being decided on a case-by-case basis.
Each organization is different in terms of timing and level of impact. I know of some employees that were notified last week. Others, I'm told, won't be notified until next year. Plenty more will be notified before the end of this year.
There will still be employees with TW designations when all of this is done, the numbers will just be severely reduced.
