They are all going back to the homeland to renew their work visas.
There's always been leave scammers, what we aren't supposed to talk about is the huge number of safe and effective side effect victims who are going out with all kinds of mysterious/serious symptoms.

Agreed completely. From my experience though, the good news is that they always seem to reap what they sow in the end (aka get fired).
Any estimates on what percentage are scammers excluding maternity/paternity leaves?

If they were just sc--wing the company, I wouldn’t care. When you pass the burden to peers via your scam, you’re trash.
Colleague is about to go out on short term disability. Paid for 25 weeks. I’m envious.
What sort of leave? Paternity/Maternity leave? Short term disability? Those are the only two I'm aware of... are there others people are using?
Anyone on leave can be displaced. No different. It they have pre approved the calculation will just be pushed but the displacement won’t wait
You get marked as "on leave" for 60 days if you have been displaced and you are lucky to have that 60 day notice period before severance as "non-working".
There's people who go on leave at least 1-2 times per year in our group. Doris you know who you are!
