Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Once Laid Off Banned for one year? I should not apply any job in HPE within 1 year?

Honestly you'd be better off at HPE than being an orange badge. CWs are treated like dirt – no, lower than dirt. Garbage pay. Not saying HPE has good salaries, but CWs leave you with almost nothing.

HPE contacted me three times since I took a package. According to some of my former coworkers, things went downhill at HPE after I left and those who weren’t laid off, jumped off for better pay and opportunities. I don’t think I could go back since I am making a lot more money plus I work remotely.

It's more like you are banned for life. But if you liked working there, go ahead and apply for your old job back, or other jobs at HPE. Unfortunately, it's probably a waste of your time.

Why would anyone who got laid off from HPE want to come back?

Anon, are you an id--t or a troll?

Just MOVE ON.

If you were awesome (and I seriously doubt that) THEY will contact you.

I'm not making this comment specifically about HPE, rather, about any company. If laid off and you really believed your position was still needed by the company, you were performing well, and there was no reason to lay you off except for random savings, why would you even want to return to that company? If that is really true for you, then you very likely have the kind of professional attributes other companies would be very interested in (if your skill set also matches a position). Every big company talks about how "special" they are and how each employee is also "special". People in HR and brand marketing are paid to create that message. HPE is no different in this regard.

Other than simply having a job and maintaining the relationships you made, what exactly is piquing your interest about wanting to go back to HPE? What do you think HPE is doing right to make you want to go back?

You deserve better. Anyone does. HPE is nothing compared to Google, Meta, Microsoft, or AWS. All HPE does is throw hardware into a chassis just like Dell or Lenovo or SuperMicro. There's hardly any differentiation.

Two years. Move on, forget about HPE.
