Lots of news in the last two weeks, just saw the PBM execs getting grilled by congress. Anyone else think David Joyner did a particularly poor job? It’s like you could tell his contempt for all the questions. At least try to make peace

Too bad for Joyner that the lead R was a PharmD. Have you ever met a pharmacist who likes PBMs? (Besides the ones who work for PBMs)
Representative Comer knew his material. He laughed at Joyner’s answers. The problem isn’t fraudulent prescribing. The problem is the fraudulent PBM system and the lack of transparency. The VA and all of Europe have independent prescribing free of PBMs. Those systems are very smooth frictionless systems that give outstanding value.
Joyner has openly shown disgust for a sitting congressperson in a Company wide town hall last year (he explicitly called out this congress person by name in a very negative manner) .
My guess is Joyner knows his job is 100% on convincing enough congress people with Rs next to their name to vote against anything that might put a middle man at jeopardy.
We're among friends here so let's be honest and admit that PBMs are scams. The only way out of this it to bribe the right people.
There was no peace that could be made … those hearings are intended for politicians to grandstand and look tough. Thought he did as expected and stuck to the script that the company and board and shareholders want.
Making peace would be some false admission of wrongdoing and that he wants to pay billions to independent pharmacies… anything short of that, there’d be no peace with all the politicians that got their speaking points from indys
