Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Layoffs would be coming even if stock was through the roof

Because that’s today's corporate US. The more you have, the less you share with those who actually created profits so there is more for you. The less you have, the less you share with those who created profits so there is more for you. In any version of stock performance or profits we are sc--wed.

Humana made 600 million, beat EPs by 16% and revenue by 3.5%.

Wall Street has their own agenda but Humana is a very profitable business and layoffs aren’t going to happen because the traders are upset. Layoffs happened last year because we missed EPS by 15% (terrible) and profit by a large margin (lost money in Q4, also terrible).

I really would not worry what the traders think lol.

He did say in his email that we will have to continue watching company cost with the increase in cost of care for members. RIF’s are always happening every where. It is just a reality now.

Why are we still obsessed with layoffs? I see a lot of reqs out there and positions being back filled. The majority of layoffs are over imo and it will probably be targeted to assistant directors and assistant vp types if anything.
