Sounds like DSM employees across all geos aren’t allowed to apply for internal jobs in any function for at least 12 months. However other functions are allowed to apply to any roles including DSM. Can anyone confirm? Heard from several sources they’ve been kicked out of interview processes because they’re not permitted to move. It wasn’t announced broadly down to all teams, you just get kicked back if you try to apply. Is this legal?

as a recruiter at NIKE. this is illegal. NIKE, As a government contracted company has to follow certain rules. roles have to be open to either all external and internals OR all internals if posted just interally. however, there are ways around this and they can hide this bad practice in ways where if you're in a team that can't move, you just won't get selected to move forward. Nike can't legally stop you from applying. same way how they post roles for h1-B roles to get h1Bs
