Attrition: John’s master plan

The more of you that voluntarily leave, the happier Donahoe becomes. He doesn’t want to pay severances, $225k average/per employee.

He wants mass attrition. $1.5B in costs left to cut! Phil is supportive.

Don’t leave, mail it in. Fight the power.

Saving cost is just an excuse for the higher up. Some Geo jus celebrated the achievement for FY24 and had just sent the whole team to a 4D3N FY25 kick off in some ASEAN country!!! What cost you talking about??? Nike is never short of $! It just wanna use it with people who know how to clean up sh-t!

For the sake of my mental health, I have been applying around the clock and just signed an offer last week. Will be starting in 3 weeks and not going to even give a two week notice

We’re thousands less in just a few years and it will keep dropping if people are so bored like another poster stated.
I can’t imagine spending 40+ hrs a week twiddling my thumbs and not adding anything valuable. I hope they start holding managers accountable for deliverables in all areas.
Some departments have been understaffed and underpaid for years and they hold down the fort!

Why else did you think RTO was implemented?

I think that was some of the game plan around the options, for the people moving into lower roles or worse parts of the business. There is also the ‘neglect’ employees who have been quiet quitting for the past decade in hopes to get rif’d. Im seeing those people get put on performance plans. Some are stepping up but others have accepted the fate.
