Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

The elephant in the room

It's clear to me that offshore/TCS people are damaging the organization as a whole. They're worsening the glacial pace that all teams seem to have, they're hard to communicate and work with, and they can't problem solve without having their hands held on a call. If we could replace every 5 TCS guys with one competent onshore team member, this company would be leaps and bounds better.

Humana doesn't understand Seniors. If they did, they wouldn't have implemented those awful call centers - Their agents have no clue on what a Senior is saying or understand medications, and requests. They make tons of mistakes and cannot speak proper English. They keep making things worse instead of better.

I love my TCS contractors (most of them). Great, hard-working folks who work hard and fight through a lot of hurdles just to land a job with a company like Humana. Unfortunately, the talent and attitude has dropped significantly in recent years (sounds familiar), and what was once a "dream job" is now extremely difficult to fill. It's sad, but harsh reality in a post-covid world.

The elephant in the room is that a health insurance company cannot provide adequate or affordable health coverage for employees.

This company needs to be broken up and insurance moved to another entity.

It is really bad. The call centers are very loud and the reps don't understand common medical phrases. Members detest calling CS for any reason.
