I don’t know how many of yall have worked in the HBCU region but oh my god. This is the second time in a month the ivory tower has blundered in the most racially insensitive way. Sending plush monkeys (NOT MASCOTS) to HBCUs to sell, printing Popeyes ads to force the stores to hand out, and now implementing a trial “HBCU Food” planogram including takis, rap snacks, and lemonheads??? This feels.. gross

CM3 that has had an HBCU in their market before it was officially classified as that with Follett and moved to Group 6- I’m only laughing because of COURSE they are doing this. GM sales are garbage so, uh, racist stereotypes it is. I used to be a GM lead before I went into CM, and I hated everything that the buyers would get us because it highlighted the disconnect between the ivory tower and the store/student population. Tell me you googled “what do black people like” without saying that.
