I used to love coming to work. I met many great people over the years, most of whom are sadly gone now. Some of the teams I worked with had great accomplishments exactly because of how Nike saw itself and how it tried to apply that idea and messaging inwards. It all now appears to have been fake from the perspective of a long-term employee who has witnessed firsthand the fall from the workplace you chose to invest yourself in to one you wish you would get fired from.
So I decided to leave. I started to look for another job during the recent layoffs, and finally landed an offer I like. Thanks to all of you good people who are still here and contributed to me once upon the time loving my job at Nike. I wish you all joy.

Congrats! I’m interviewing tomorrow hoping to get out of this sh!tshow. 30 year+ employee who has seen the dark underbelly of the beast the last four years and is now repulsed by the company I work for. I too have enjoyed the teams I have worked with but the f u attitude of the company to all of us has become enough. Looking forward to a new employer and being energized for each new workday.
I am in the same boat... it took me 3 months and thousands of cover letters but got an offer from a company for the same dollar amount at Nike earlier this week. Job needs relocation but I am over the moon to be out of this mess....
Congrats! I got an offer on Friday and accepted immediately. Didn’t even negotiate since the initial offer was strong. Glad to be on the way out with the rest of you. All the best!
Good for both of you. Cheers to better work environment
Love that for you! I just got my offer today too.... I am really excited to put my 2 weeks notice in as soon as my background check is completed with this new employer
