@2p7h I'm at that new company. What's his playbook?
He’s reenacting the same playbook just at a different company now.
And he’s outta here!
Almost time for Dan to leave Truist!
"I'm not sure what's wrong with this bank, but I know work from home is to blame!"

Was he in his role long?
And they put the 7 week old Chief of staff running thousands of associates and running infrastructure for the 7th largest bank? Great idea Bender, you might as well go back to running the slimy service finance business. You don’t even know how to change your password without issues. Oh wait, either does Beau-Zo. Keep going then. CEO quality right there.
Oh, no arguments there. Its always about money. I guess I just didn't understand why Dan outright stated he hated coming to work every day and didn't want the position even though he's clearly got to do what he's good at (only looking at numbers, not caring about people, and outsourcing/RIFing accordingly). After thinking about it though, I think he just hates managing technical people and doesn't give a sh-t about the details of department he's over. He just sees technology as a cost center like all pi-s poor MBA types do. The leaders under him have probably been hounding him about how much of a clusterfu-k outsourcing is going to be and he's just like "fu-k it, someone else can deal with the details then, my job here is done, peace." Right after signing the contracts with Cisco and Accenture of course.
Now do Buchanan + Wilson + Thompson
Wooohoooo. What a glorious Thursday!!
Can I be the second set of eyes to implement this? Looking for two sets of eyes for reviewers and two sets of eyes from each LOB to review this Change.
@cdb it always comes down to money. I’m sure the CFO saw the cost savings from offshoring and forced it. Not like finance cares about quality difference
@wkg Sounds like he is resigning. The exact wording is
"It is with mixed emotions that I share that Chief Technology Officer Dan Stephenson has decided to leave Truist to pursue other opportunities. His last day at the company will be July 1."
From Brad Bender.
One would hope off-shoring would stop but there's probably a contract already signed. The big question I want an answer to: was the offshoring what Dan wanted or what his superiors wanted?
Is he leaving? Did he get removed? how does this change offshoring especially if the negotiations were already in place?
Not a good sign for the bank - these IT Senior Execs are dropping like flies. Can you say instability? Very odd it is happening right in the midst of all these other announcements. As previously mentioned would be great to get the truth of what is happening.
Ah you beat me to it.
The only thing the man was ever transparent about was how much he didn't want to be in the position he was in and hated his job. But why? What I wouldn't give to know exactly what was going on there.
Traitor Dan is outta here! Maybe HE'LL move offshore.
