Unless you're in the most expensive office, New York. Nothing like only keeping overpaid execs around. They're definitely selling this company. I hope whoever buys them does their due diligence. Especially on their revenue.

The trend has been India, Mexico... If you happened to be based anywhere else, you have a huge target on your back. The senior leadership team is actively looking to replace you.

To be fair, the Omaha and Chandler offices also had thousands of people until they all got laid off and the buildings sold. You're not safe unless you're a do nothing in NYC.

Even if current trend continues for 18 months (which is a massive “if”) Dublin would still be the biggest PayPal office in Europe by some distance. Calm down.

Well it's simple to to come to a conclusion that they are pulling out as there was over 200 let go on the last round of lay offs less than 6 months ago and now another 85.The company has over 1500 employees still here but easy to dwindle that down in 18 months with current trend.

I believe other geos in EMEA might be coming. Something I heard makes me think this because i'm sure I heard an org/geo v recently and they didn't get a notification today because only Ireland seems to have been mentioned

Unless you receive an email to tell you you’re safe then I would just assume it’s a waiting game for other departments like it was for ICA EMEA when the NA cuts were announced

How did you use that logic of 85 jobs cut to pulling out of Ireland? I'd say there's still 1500k plus employees in Ireland.

That seems counter intuitive to keep the high earners but I've given up on logic here.

Yes, expect to be told something by Friday, from what I’m told, what happened today “is only the start of it”. They’re not announcing them all at once because they don’t want too much “bad press” before the new product announcement
