Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

C&E

Occasionally see posts addressing Core, Prem and CO workload. What is going on in that organization? In a different department and really don’t have much contact with the outside world these days. Initially it seemed like they would handle fiber repair issues and know of a few who went to the fiber build group.

They are continuing to build out/maintain the fiber network, maintenance and reclamation on copper and road moves for both. It will years before copper is totally replaced, a lot of govt entities still want pots as mainlines or backup.

C&E does a bit more than fiber. If you don't know that then you're not paying attention

When the people in a particular company wonder what the others there do, something is wrong.
The whole business office of this company is just about getting more subscribers. But that's it, there is no care how it's done.
And the customer experience is secondary to the profit being made.
How can a business model like that succeed ?, it can't, and it's not.

Well in COR we get flagged as most sales - including add a lines - as fraud. We are selling htp ? ........ and sales are not high on the list of things that we are to be concerned about, so ya, great business model.
