Consultation period is just formality to comply with EU laws.
The reduction is set in stone.
Answering the qq of the layoff if it is today. Technically no, next week the consultation period will start after representation has been selected and after 30days the official layoff will be provided. But for ICA ireland it’s sure all will go, we just have 30days until we get the official notice. In the meantime they will offer other available roles. But I doubt there will be many.

I said it another thread it's their typical MO to do last hurrahs before cutting numbers.
I'm glad our headcount savings was there to pay for those $100k+ visits (no doubt they all flow business and stay in the nicest hotels)
All of Ireland ICA was made redundant, not too sure about any other department
I wonder if they are doing to IRE what they did to NA and that is have the suits visit for photo ops then do layoffs. I wonder how many regions will get this treatment.
I heard some merchant got invited too (sales etc.)

Something is happening this week, likely tomorrow. Not all orgs but one org globally.
I think the announcement will be coming soon. It is extremely quiet at the moment, shares are going down quickly. They will have to do some cutting costs before the Q3 starts.
