Longish term associate of around 6 years, top performer all that jazz. Recently loss a lot of motivation. Hypothetically speaking if I had another job lined up and wanted to get canned, but also want a severance, would the strat be to just underperform greatly, get put on a PIP, and then at that point they give the severance? Or how does that all play out. I’m ready to get let go, but I want a severance. So I’m not going to quit, but want to know how it works. Thanks in advance, there are many great minds that work for C1.

I had a manager no longer at C1 tell me "If a manager says you are Inconsistent, you are Inconsistent" even if you are currently rated above strong hitting all metrics and requirements. LET THAT SINK IN FOR A MINUTE.
If you are put on a PIP write " not in agreement signature in receipt of document only." Then negotiate your severance. Hourly rate x 40 hrs x 4. Then Multiply that by number by years you've been employed. I know folks who've received it by showing they were wrongly targeted for a PIP. GOOD LUCK. There are lots of great people being forced out of a job by C1 starting with a below strong rating.
OP poster sounds like adouche. You are so good that you are going to have to work on getting fired and all that jazz? While your coworkers who are busting their tails trying to keep a job and navigate this difficult place to provide for their families? You do not care about the drag you put on the people who have to work with your entitled self? Please, just take your exceptional skills and move on. You should be able to name your price because you are such a high performer.
Switch to a department that you think doesn’t have a future. You will for sure get hit with a reorg.
@ Anonymous OP here. See that’s not how this works lmfao. You’re either going to pay me a severance, or keep bare minimum work around haha. This company pulls so much bs don’t act like I’m in the wrong for wanting to gain the system. You’re obviously some loser manager with no life outside of C1. I’ll do whatever I want actually don’t mess with me
I hope they drop you and don't offer any severance, you're the kind of trash that C1 needs to cut instead of the good people
Just do what I did. I waited until end of December, filed an FMLA claim, and rode the appeal knowing I wasn’t going to follow through until all the PTO that they load in January was used. It got me 2 months paid because they have to pay you the PTO while the claim is open or appealing at least the first appeal and until you’re out of PTO. They did send me a letter saying I owe the money back but this was years ago and other than being not rehirable nothing else has come of it.
If your performance has been ok until this point it would take you months to get to the point where you’re placed on a PIP. Especially since you were probably just calibrated at a Strong or Above Strong for mid year.
Department strategies vary, but typically action isn’t taken until you’re a significant metric outlier for two consecutive months. Then it’s 60 days on a DC1 or DAP, 60 days on a Coaching Plan, then a PIP.
The severance isn’t worth it if you’re unhappy.
Your goal is to get out at all costs, even if you get an offer that is lower then you're expecting. This isn't the time to think about working two jobs and getting fired from Capone to get severance. They don't even have to give you any severance period. If they do give you anything it's at most 12 weeks. But you've read the post below about them demanding fired employees give back severance under threat of reprisal didn't you? So be smart and GTFO.
OP here, *lost and also wanted to know the details of a regular associate non manager offer they’d give for roughly 5-6 years. Thanks
