Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Elaborate Sales Events

The company is struggling and doesn't give real raises to help employees keep up with inflation. Some employees and contractors are on Medicaid because they are paid so low. Others are struggling or working a second job to try to afford their bills.

The company lays off workers that are actually trying to help members.

Members are struggling with affording medical care.

But sales...they are out living their best lives. Wonder how many members they actually run into at their elaborate events. Be sure to comment your thoughts on Linkedin.

Some positions are very low paying. Add in a family to support and Medicaid eligibility is very real.

$41K is the threshold for a family of 4 in Kentucky.

Raises have not kept pace with inflation.

High commissions are needed for sales. Not opulent events.

Employees that are struggling financially are burnt out and can't adequately take care of members.

I’m assuming you do not understand budgets. Sales included events like this in their budgets to have. Sales budget has nothing to do with say, IT, Call Centers etc. Not even to mention that to have effective sales team you need evens like these…
