Shame on you for attending. The MSNBC crew always showing up for this deep fake rubbish lies from CEO. Hoping for the next DEI story.
i learned a lot
Regarding loudspeaker: my region exec made it pretty clear that only id--ts use it in his mind
Didn’t tune in not in a hub so doesn’t apply to me. Stop asking me to train offshore employees when you’ve decided you’re laying me off. Ask your hub employees so they can build rapport, coach and fix their mistakes the next day.
I was disappointed the CFO towed the liberal line on economy instead of being honest like a Jamie Dimon
"As someone who attended in person very few employees hid their disbelief at much of what was said."
Caught me with my mouth open gasping at what was said, did you?
As someone who attended in person very few employees hid their disbelief at much of what was said. I did apreciate the donuts and popcorn available after the "jab fest".
For those questioning Intern and them flying to Orlando, FL.. With all those fun activity + the rate they pay to intern it would be equivalent to (my best guess) 3/4 full time employee. Plus it's all about marketing to those 'young' cool kids who are eager to land their first job. So I guess this is all part of strategy aka. Brand image creation for Wells.
Interns in CIB on average earn $43.00 an hour. I have a few starting next week.
Glad the interns enjoyed their all expenses paid week long Disney trip while top employees get a certificate instead of a Golden Spoke award/trip. Priorities.
@hyn+1t0Kwj8T 💯! They have been laying off people for months, have made it difficult for managers to TRULY "appreciate" the work we do through financial and promotional levers...and they really think a dry panera cookie and pancakes are really doing something.
CFO and COO throwing jabs at each other without their daddy there to separate them.
I’m pretty sure the interns are paid, btw.
“So recurring themes thar are "opportunities", meaning they don't do well — clear paths to promotion, recognition and training.
It's hard to do those things when they're laying off and destroying efficient and effective organizations.” Or that they keep hiring from BofA or Chase blocking mid career aspirations of existing committed employees (making them want to leave).
Do you people really think interns aren't paid? If you don't know, then don't speak on it. They get paid tye WFC min, which isn't too bad for a summer gig of just following people around. The bigger travesty is paying them to travel, period.
I have to beg and plead to travel for my job that's necessary and these kids get a free trip to Disney World. Maybe only 20% actually come back to work at Wells. Not to mention that all interns are basically kids of high level managers
Let's be honest. Wells was probably these interns safety/last pick. I'd be curious to see the retention rate...I doubt Disney will make a difference.
Why is he meeting with Trump… he can’t get SAFE certified!
Sothis great company flew 1000 unpaid interns to Disney World that probably included 500 (at least) executives (care takers, nose wipers, etc.) so 1500 people to Disney World. Wonder how many bonuses were cut, how many project funding was cut, how many extra employees were laid off to fund this boondoggle.
Worst gaslighting attempt yet. “Things are great here! People are committed here! You have a future here! We actually care about your ideas here!”
I was born in the dark, but it wasn’t last night. I do actually work here.
Oh and WTF wining and dining interns to make them think it’s so great. Then they actually start working here and get some picked over stale donuts and $10 as an appreciation for all the hard work. Save that Disney money and keep some of the great people you seem to be hellbent on laying off!
For career advice: No secret sauce. Kiss a**. Take the hits. Have good-ole boys network to back you up. Otherwise, you're on the lay-off list.
Here's the advice kid -- be in a core growth city. Otherwise you are meaningless to the company even if you work here for decades.
Career advice: you need to live in the right zip code.
That poor little intern on the kool-aid
They flew a bunch of not paid interns to Disney world? WTF!!!!
Glad they enjoyed Disney World.
So the WF CEO attending a speech given by a convicted felon is more important than showing up to his own Town Hall during Employee Appreciation week.
That is so on-brand.
I have given up on loudspeaker. All I ever get is "great idea, but..."
@pld+1t0Kwj8T: 💯 - two things I notice - lack of resources and time to really understand the broader impact of the suggestions. And if they DO understand, they don't want to do anything because it requires a big lift and CHANGE (issues of inefficiencies in tech, HR, processes for example).
The sanctimony is a little thick.
Regarding Loudspeakers? Of the many I've received, there is already an established path or process and the end user wasn't aware of them.
Is this the SP show?
Loudspeaker is not working because those of us who receive them don’t have the resources to implement
Where are they getting these people with these “not smart” questions???
Big banks in bed with the globalists
SP makes me want to vomit.
Charlie doesn't bother with a mouse jiggler. He just no shows.
🤮
Why CS is not at the town hall today per Wall Street Journal: "Trump is slated to speak to a group that includes the CEOs of the nation’s largest banks, including JPMorgan Chase’s Jamie Dimon, Bank of America’s Brian Moynihan, Citigroup’s Jane Fraser and Wells Fargo’s Charlie Scharf"
Be honest: How many actually use their volunteer time to volunteer?
Up-vote if you use it to volunteer.
Down-vote if you use it to "volunteer" to take a half-day.
"Underpenetrated" markets ya'll — where they closed a bunch of branches and fired financial advisors? LOL so tone deaf.
The reason people don’t feel recognized is because an “exceeds” is now a “meets” and you’re giving good employees trash raises. Their managers not sending them an e-card is not the issue. You have to fix it with cash, not cookies and you know this.
@qdi Haha, I think you meant swimming in it, like Scrooge McDuck. 😂
