These people are driving the culture down the drain. AC, JC, JL and others, they are all the same. They are YES men. Nobody has delivered anything real at Nike. They read stuff and pretend that they know. Bunch of clowns.

Lot of talkers in EDA and EDAP leadership. Too many backdoor deals among them. GT and business leadership have no idea all that’s going on. MD has to learn a lot if she really wants to make difference
JC spent millions on “platform”, created a lot of legacy and now poses as the one cleaning up complexity for Nike.

JL has been running AI since he joined few years ago. Other building large organization and spending millions, he has done nothing of value. He prioritized many things, platforms included but delivered nothing. JC is complicit.
MD, JC, JL are promising hundreds of millions in savings or EBITDA through AI.
That is also what is being said on the earnings call.
But we know how it goes in GT: you overpromise, under deliver and get promoted.

It’s just not that hard a job. The only reason teams are struggling is we’ve hired hundreds of unqualified contractors that don’t even know how to code. AI won’t fix that.
Tech Modernization org is cr-p…same people trying to do service platform and platformization for last many years without any valuable outcome for Nike.

Outsource tech is the answer
So many people managers, directors, sr directors, and VPs are paid huge salaries to do little to nothing. It’s straight robbery. People who actually perform and deliver value at their managerial rank are the minority. No wonder Nike is struggling. Terrible talent management. We’re relying on old brand equity and it won’t last forever. Nike is on track to gradually decline into mediocrity.

In GT, you have key initiatives with at least three different program mgrs: one within the domain, then Tech Modernization (driven by the JC and his friends who actually created all the mess - ie “distinguished engineer” AC) and then NAO.
And who is doing the work? An underpaid ETW, whose contract will expire in two more weeks.
