Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

407 impacted including 33 L3s & 1 L4 Townes Org.

Can anyone confirm or comment on this. It seems ridiculously high based on history. Any comments regarding locations?

Chad should consider doing the union techs - most sit in their trucks bored with no work to do

If only that were true. I'm busy every day.

Sambar’s org doing some too — small and being done by having people in the approved locations get move letters less than a year from their last move letter — all while people with special exceptions working from various states.

This is the first time I have heard of this happening, can u tell us little more about it and how widespread?

I sit next to someone in CSO who is customer facing and she said for fiber with voice their volume of new orders are down by at least 55% every month for 2024 when compared to 2023 and 2022.

“I am a former T employee and suspect many of my former peers were impacted.”
You should be posting in an alumni Facebook group.

Without violating any rules can someone provide more details on the L3s/L4s? I am a former T employee and suspect many of my former peers were impacted.

Yes, Q2 layoffs are in progress for many many BUs. The number is not shocking.

You might get a wire tech job if you study and change into some clean clothes. Good luck.. Not much future in email reading and spreadsheet meetings.

If they got rid of 33 level three's then that org was way to top heavy. Thin it out.
